Speedy Prawn & Lemon Spaghetti

This is a super quick midweek meal to make and suitable from 6 months plus, providing you cut the prawns and veggies age appropriately- e.g. you may want to halve the prawns and asparagus lengthways, and cut the cherry tomatoes into quarters to reduce the choking hazard.

  • 225g Spaghetti
  • 250g Asparagus, chopped into bite size pieces
  • Knob of butter
  • 150g King Prawns
  • 1 Clove Garlic, crushed.
  • 2 Lemons, zest and juice
  • 2-3 handfuls of cherry tomatoes, halved
  1. Cook 225g spaghetti to packet instructions. About 2 minutes before the end of cooking add in the asparagus
  2. Meanwhile in a separate pan, melt a chunk of butter, and fry the king prawns and crushed garlic until cooked through. Add in the lemon zest and cherry tomatoes and cook for another minute or two.
  3. Add in 1 ladle of pasta water, then drain the pasta and asparagus and add to the pan with the prawns with the juice of the 2 lemons. Give it a quick stir and serve.
  4. Season with salt (adults/older kids only) and pepper once served.

Additional Information

Prawns are naturally high in salt- if you do serve these to weaning infants, only serve a couple to keep the salt levels down.
