Eggy Bread

A childhood classic, this eggy bread makes a super quick and easy meal any time of day. Suitable for baby led weaning and loved by the whole family! For weaning, chop the bread into thin strips, and for older kids serve as shown in the picture.

Ready In: 15 Mins

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Slices Bread
  • Spray Oil
  1. Whisk the eggs in a large bowl. Dip the bread into the egg mix, so that it covers both sides of the bread. Shake off any excess egg. 
  2. Spray a frying pan with a little of the oil, then add the bread. Fry lightly on one side until golden, then flip and fry the other side. Serve.

Additional Information

You could adapt this by adding cinnamon and/or vanilla essence to the egg to make a sweet version (French toast), but I prefer savoury- served as above with a big dollop of ketchup!
