Mango & Avocado Salad

A refreshing salad to brighten up your day! This colourful salad is appealing to the whole family- often the idea of fruit can entice lots of children to this one! The avocado, mango and cucumber can be served from 6 months upwards in thin spears, however, I would avoid the pomegranate seeds until over the age of 12 to 18 months (when they have a good grasp of chewing).

Additional Information

You can get kids involved with making this salad too. Things you can try are; asking them to hit half the pomegranate with a wooden spoon over a large bowl to make the seeds fall out, chopping the avocado, cucumber and mango and mint (with the avocado and mango you may want to remove the skin and stone first and give them just the flesh to chop).
